Alex Moody is a movement-focused attorney who first got involved in Reproductive Justice work through grassroots organizing and abortion funding in Louisiana. They attended law school at the University of Michigan with a focus on the intersection of Reproductive Justice and LGBTQ+ Liberation. Prior to their time at Lift, they spent two years at SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW! as an If/When/How Fellow. They also worked at the National Center for Lesbian Rights advocating on behalf of transgender youth, and the National LGBTQ Task Force where they focused on comprehensive reproductive health policy. Alex is excited to be part of the team at Lift working to shift the balances of power and create structural change in Louisiana and across the South.
