Baton Rouge to Vote to Eliminate the "Pink Tax" This Week!

We are excited to let you know that this Wednesday, October 14th the Baton Rouge City Council will be considering Councilwoman Erika Green's ordinance to exempt the sales tax on personal hygiene products.

If approved, Baton Rouge will be the second city on Louisiana to pass this ordinance. We want to thank Councilwoman Erika Green for prioritizing this and Representative Aimee Freeman for passing HB 328 this year, which allowed local governments to take action to eliminate these unfair taxes.

Call your City Council Member to let them know you support Ordinance 20-01059, by Councilwoman Green.
