This week in Louisiana...

In case you missed it, here's a rundown of what happened this week in Louisiana's Capitol. And what's coming up next week!

SB 128 - proposes to amend a law that is currently blocked by a federal district judge. Louisiana has been sued over every single anti-abortion bill it passed last session, including the statute this bill seeks to amend.

This bill surprisingly was passed out of committee this week and is scheduled to be voted on in the Senate on Monday May 1st.

Tell your Senators they need to carefully consider whether it is worth wasting taxpayer resources on yet another restriction on abortion access.

Equal pay legislation will now be heard WEDNESDAY, May 3rd in the House Labor Committee at 9:30 a.m.

Louisiana has one of the largest wage gaps in the country - 68 cents on the dollar. Click below to automatically email legislators on this committee to support HB 222 to put an end to policies that prohibit employees discussing wages with each other.

We need you speak up, stand up and show up if equal pay for women is important to you.
